hey guys i was just wondering if you can check to see if people from other guilds are online if there is a way please tell me

Only by adding them to your friends list. There is no way to see another guild's memberlist or anything like that.

You can't see another guild's roster without becoming a member, even within an alliance. If you know a specific person you are looking for, you can add their in game name to your friends list which will then show you if they are online.

Wish there was a tab to see what alliance members were on. Short of adding the person or joining their guild the next best thing is shouting in AC if the person is on.

Or PM'ing, but if they have more than 1 toon

although if you add it usually gives the name when you added in brackets beside current toons name
